- Analytics technologies are treated as optional and should not be activated before the required consent is obtained.
- Analytics consent may be refused without preventing access to the ordinary content and core functionality of the Website, except where a specific technical feature genuinely requires a separate necessary technology.
- If consent is withdrawn, future optional analytics storage/access should cease in accordance with the consent system and applicable technology.
5. Stripe and payments
- When a user chooses to make a payment, Stripe may use technologies necessary for payment processing, fraud prevention, security and operation of its payment services.
- TalkNative does not use Stripe payment technologies as a substitute for general advertising consent.
- Additional information about Stripe’s own processing is available in Stripe’s privacy documentation presented through its services.
6. Google Calendar, Google Workspace and Firebase
- TalkNative uses Google Calendar for booking and availability management and Google Workspace for business communications and related Google services.
- Google Firebase is used for teacher/admin authentication and related backend functionality. Public visitors and students do not log in through the Firebase teacher/admin login merely to browse the Website.
- Whether a Google integration places or accesses browser storage on a particular page depends on how that feature is implemented. Optional technologies should be controlled by consent where required.
7. Vercel
- The Website is hosted using Vercel infrastructure. Technical logs and security information may be generated as part of hosting and delivering the Website.
- Technologies strictly necessary to deliver, secure or operate the Website are distinguished from optional analytics or marketing technologies.
8. Managing cookie preferences
- Where the Website uses optional cookies or similar technologies requiring consent, the cookie interface should allow the user to accept or reject optional categories and later change or withdraw their choice.
- Rejecting optional analytics cookies should be as straightforward as accepting them.
- Users can also manage cookies using browser settings. Blocking strictly necessary technologies may cause some requested Website features, such as secure sessions or checkout, not to function correctly.
- Withdrawal of consent does not affect the lawfulness of processing that occurred before consent was withdrawn.
9. Current cookie list
- The exact names, providers, lifetimes and purposes of individual cookies or browser-storage items can change when the Website or third-party services are updated.
- The live cookie-preference interface should present the current technologies actually detected/used on the Website. This Policy intentionally does not invent cookie names that may not be present in the current implementation.
- When a material new optional technology is introduced, TalkNative should update the consent configuration and this Policy as appropriate.
